Balance Education provides live and virtual continuing education courses for medical professions.

Owner and principal instructor, Lu Mueller-Kaul, has been board approved to provide continuing education credits that are necessary for license renewal for Licensed Massage Therapists in Florida since 2013 (FL CE Provider #50-14413).

Lu established her massage therapy clinic, Balance Orlando, in 2008 (balanceorlando.com). As a uniquely skilled bodyworker (MA 55739) and Certified Advanced Rolfer™, Lu  coaches her therapeutic staff to provide massage and bodywork services for reliable pain relief and improved function in the musculoskeletal system. Additionally, she was hired by Vyne Education (formerly Cross Country Education) in 2014 to provide continuing education classes nationwide for physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists.

Balance Education was established in 2016 in response to increasing demand for Lu’s courses in Florida, and in preparation of  her further expansion into other states and other medical professions. Lu is a certified provider through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB, Provider #1521).

Balance Education provides in-person hands-on training in small classroom settings to ensure each participant gets the attention they deserve and the practice they need to incorporate new skills into their own practices with confidence. Video courses are in development to provide distance learning to those who are are unable to attend in person.

Through these courses, Lu focuses on myofascial mobilizations for the most effective treatments of pain in the musculoskeletal system. Her students improve their ability to relieve pain, release tension and improve range of motion for their clients while learning to leverage their own body weight rather than relying on muscle strength alone. These techniques provide improved results for clients and longer, more productive careers for therapists.

Always looking to the future, Lu will begin her teacher training for the Rolf Institute® in the near future. Her plans include facilitating basic trainings for Rolfing Structural Integration in Orlando, Florida, the first time such trainings will be available on the East Coast.

In addition to being CEO of Balance Orlando and Balance Education, for several years Lu has been involved with MBA Orlando, Orlando’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce. She has served as chair of RED group (Referral Exchange and Development), has been recognized as Small Businesswoman of the Year (2012), and recently completed a two-year term as the organization’s President. During her tenure as President, MBA was awarded the prestigious Chamber of the Year Award by the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).
